the story of shore
The journey of shore began with an ambitious project to create a pen tray as part of a concrete desk set, a partner for Mura, however concrete wasn’t suitable for the form we had developed, but we liked the design. so we made one out of a but of jarrah we had in the factory.
Although the two didn't match it opened the door to a new idea .We started to see a more utilitarian object emerging - a kitchen serving board, with gentle oscillations.
Our CNC router enabled the team to introduce a gentle oscillation on the boards surface, resulting in a subtle yet sophisticated texture that enhances its aesthetic appeal. This created a unique pattern with the grain as it was exposed in certain areas.
Crafted from one piece Rose gum an Australian native hardwood and finished with an Australian made food safe wax, this is truly and Australian made.
Its creation marks a successful adaption of a design, transforming a challenge into a unique and cherished product.
Affordable and beautiful, Shore is a versatile addition to any table or celebration, embodying the perfect blend of functionality and elegance.
