the story of eave
Originally conceived in fully recycled plastic, Eave evolved into a piece that better reflects our design ethos—combining sustainability, structure, and simplicity. Through careful prototyping and testing, we refined the weight distribution and joinery to ensure the piece is as robust as it is refined.
Eave’s geometry isn’t just expressive—it’s practical. The trapezoidal shape gives it presence without bulk, allowing it to sit effortlessly in a hallway, beside a sofa, or as a compact occasional stool.
At its base, a precision-folded 6 mm aluminum shell, powder-coated for durability, provides architectural strength while maintaining a clean, minimal aesthetic. This linear structure is designed with an engineered slot system, housing a slim timber or bamboo top reclaimed from our workshop offcuts.
Designed in Melbourne and made in small batches, Eave is a quiet object with a confident purpose—functional, flexible, and sustainably made.
